Log House Site Native Wildflowers In the fall of 2007 OHS member Eedie Cuminale applied for and received a grant to establish native Missouri plants on the grounds of the Log House. The grant was offered by Wild Ones, in conjuction with the state and the Missouri Botanical Gardens. With the grant funds the Overland Historical Society purchased several native species of wildflowers and on May 12, 2008, a planting of the flowers took place along the split-rail fence at the historic site. Several children from the local community helped participate in the event. Visitors are welcome to view and enjoy the variety of native Missouri wildflowers near the loghouse site.
